# Media Kit

The media kit contains everything you need to present Rocket.Chat correctly: the official logo files, the full brand guidelines and reference images from the guidelines. Always use the logo files exactly as provided.

## What is inside

When you unzip the file, you'll find a `Rocket.Chat_Media_Kit` folder with the following contents.

| `RocketChat_Brand_Guidelines.pdf` | The complete brand guidelines, covering the logo, clear space, color, iconography and typography. |
| `Logos/` | The official logo files and a quick logo reference. |
| `Brand_Guidelines_Images/` | Reference images from the guidelines. |
| `README.txt` | A short guide to the files in the kit. |

### Logo files

The `Logos/` folder contains the following files.

| File | Format | When to use it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `Logo Horizontal - Red` | SVG, PNG | The default logo, for white or light backgrounds. |
| `Logo Horizontal - White` | SVG, PNG | For dark or colored backgrounds. |
| `Icon - Red` | SVG, PNG | The symbol only, on white or light backgrounds. Use it for app icons, favicons and social media avatars. |
| `Icon - White` | SVG, PNG | The symbol only, on dark or colored backgrounds. |
| `RocketChat_Logo_Guidelines.pdf` | PDF | A quick reference to using the logo correctly. |

### Reference images

The `Brand_Guidelines_Images/` folder contains the images from the guidelines, so you can check the rules at a glance.

> The reference images illustrate the guidelines. Don't use them as logo files in your own materials. Use the files in the `Logos/` folder instead.

## Which file to use

| Format | Best for | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **SVG** | Websites and digital use | Preferred for screens. Scales to any size without losing quality. |
| **PNG** | Slides, documents and social media | The PNG files have transparent backgrounds. |

## Checklist

Every time you use the logo:

- Use the official logo files without modification.
- Keep a clear space of three circles on every side.
- Scale proportionally, with the aspect ratio locked.
- Place the logo on a clean background with good contrast.
- Choose the horizontal logo first, and use the symbol only when needed.
