# My Account FAQ

****How can I change my username in Rocket.Chat?****

1. Click your profile icon and go to **Account → Profile** .
2. Edit the **Username** field and click **Save changes.**

> If the **Allow Username Change** setting is disabled in your workspace’s [Account settings](https://docs.rocket.chat/v1/docs/accounts#set-user-account-settings), you won’t be able to update your username. Contact your workspace administrator for assistance.

****How can I delete my account permanently on Rocket.Chat?****

**Web/desktop:**

1. Click your profile icon, then go to **Account → Profile.**
2. Scroll down and click **Delete my account**.
3. Enter your account password to confirm.
4. Click **Delete** to permanently remove your account.

**Mobile app:**

1. Open the menu (☰) next to your workspace name.
2. Tap **Profile.**
3. Scroll down and tap **Delete my account.**
4. Enter your password to confirm.
5. Tap **Delete.**

****How can I change my email address in Rocket.Chat?****

To change your email address:

1. Click your profile icon, then go to **Account → Profile**.
2. Edit the Email field.
3. Click **Save changes** when you're done.

To change your avatar:

2. Choose from the available options: set default avatar, upload an image and use a URL.
3. Click **Save changes** to apply the update.

To enable [Two Factor Authentication:](https://docs.rocket.chat/v1/docs/two-factor-authentication-user-guide)

1. Click your profile icon**,** then go to **Account → Profile → Security**.
2. Toggle **Two-factor authentication via TOTP** to enable it.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

****How can I change the language in Rocket.Chat?****

To change your language:

2. In the **Localization** section, select your preferred language from the dropdown.
3. Click **Save changes**.

To change the theme or enable dark mode:
