Once your Rocket.Chat workspace is deployed, you can access it as an administrator using either the desktop client or a web browser.
Option 1: Using the desktop client
Download and install the Rocket.Chat desktop client.
Launch the application.
Enter your workspace URL (e.g.,
http://localhost:3000
or your domain URL).Click Connect.
(Optional) Click the plus (+) icon in the sidebar to add additional workspace URLs.
Option 2: Using a web browser
Open your preferred browser.
Enter your workspace URL in the address bar.
This could be
http://localhost:3000
for local deployments or a domain URL depending on your deployment method.
Press Enter to access the login screen.
Note: Your workspace URL can vary depending on how Rocket.Chat was deployed. For example, local installations use localhost, while cloud or server-based deployments will use a custom domain.
What happens next?
Once you've successfully accessed the workspace:
The setup wizard is launched if you're logging in for the first time.
After setup, you can begin customizing your workspace, inviting users, and exploring client applications for different platforms.
