Use this page to check whether your Rocket.Chat version is still supported and when its support ends, so you can plan upgrades before losing security fixes and cloud services.
The short version
- Standard releases are supported for 6 months. Long-Term Support (LTS) releases are supported for 12 months.
- End of life (EOL) is the last day of the month shown. The tables below list exact dates, so no conversion is needed.
- After EOL: no more security or bug fixes, and cloud-dependent services (Push Notification Gateway, Marketplace, Omnichannel integrations) stop working. Official mobile and desktop apps may no longer connect.
- Running an EOL version? Follow the Guidelines for Updating Rocket.Chat and move to the latest LTS (currently 8.5) or the newest release (8.7).
Currently supported versions
Find your release in the first column, then check Status. If your version is not in this table, it has reached end of life - see the archive below and upgrade as soon as possible.

About LTS releases
LTS releases (tagged LTS in the tables) are for organizations that prioritize stability over new features - typically enterprise environments with strict change control. An LTS version is supported for 12 months from release. During that window it receives security patches and critical bug fixes, but no new features.
For the full policy, including release cadence and intended use cases, see Release Life Cycle.
What happens at end of life
When a version reaches EOL, it keeps running, but:
- Security vulnerabilities and bugs are no longer fixed for that version.
- Cloud-dependent services stop working: Push Notification Gateway, Marketplace, and Omnichannel integrations.
- Official mobile and desktop clients may lose the ability to connect to your workspace.
If you are on an EOL version: review the Guidelines for Updating Rocket.Chat, back up your database, and upgrade to 8.5 LTS (longest remaining support window) or 8.7 (latest features).
