You can perform various actions from the DM menu bar to effectively manage your DMs with other users in your workspace.
View user information
To view a user details from your DM,
Click the User Info icon from the menu bar to view the user information. For multi-user DMs, refer to Manage Room Members.
Click the Start Call button to initiate the call with the user. Ensure that one of the Conference Call apps has been configured on your workspace.
Click View reported messages button to view the moderation dashboard for reported users and messages. This option is exclusively available for workspace administrators.
Click the kebab menu to block or report the user. Add the reason for reporting the user and hit Report.
After blocking a user, the room will indicate blocked too. Blocked users will not be able to send you direct messages unless they are unblocked.
Other DM actions
In addition to viewing user info, you can perform several other actions to manage your DMs in the sidebar effectively.
Hover over the DM in the left sidebar.
Select the kebab menu that appears next to the DM's name.
Click Hide to remove a conversation from your chat list on the left sidebar. This helps you declutter your view without deleting the conversation.
Select Favorite to pin a conversation to the top of your chat list. This makes it easy to find and access your most important DMs.
Choose Mark as Unread if you need to come back to a message later. This highlights the DM in your sidebar again, reminding you to follow up.
