After successfully configuring your WebRTC settings or SIP integration, the final configuration step is to define which users have access to the calling features. Follow these steps to configure the appropriate role permissions that’ll allow users to start making voice calls from your workspace:
Navigate to Administration > Workspace > Permissions.
Locate the roles for the users you want to grant calling access to (for example,
user
or a custom role).Enable the following permissions as needed:

Allow Internal Voice Calls
Essential for standard WebRTC calls and allows workspace members to make voice calls to one another.
Allow External Voice Calls
Allows users to place and receive calls through the SIP provider, including PSTN calls. This works only when SIP integration is fully configured.
Manage Voice Calls
Permission to assign extension to users.
View Voice Call Extensions
Permission to see contact information during calls.
Allow Voice Calls
Permission to access user-facing features Rocket.Chat Voice, excluding administrative controls. Without this permission, voice calling functionality will be disabled for the user.
